Mrs. Cincy Thomas is a committed zoologist and research scholar specializing in biological pest control, insect ecology, and biodiversity conservation.

She holds a B.Sc. in Zoology and Industrial Microbiology from S.B. College, Changanacherry, an M.Sc. in Zoology from St. Thomas College, Kozhencherry, and a B.Ed. in Natural Science from St. Joseph’s Training College, Mannanam.

She qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET), UGC-CSIR NET, and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), reflecting her academic excellence and research capability.

Her teaching journey includes serving as a Guest Lecturer at Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, where she contributed to undergraduate zoology education.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at ICAR–CTCRI, Thiruvananthapuram, her research focuses on the ecological management of sweet potato weevils, a major agricultural pest.

A woman of faith and family, she is married to researcher Mr. Joseph Tom and is a proud mother. She belongs to St. Antony’s Forane Church, Kurumbanadom, under the Archdiocese of Changanacherry.
