Fr. Sebastian Muthuplackal is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Kanjirapally with over 28 years of pastoral ministry and leadership.

He currently serves as the Director of Liturgy & Sacred Music for the Diocese and is a member of the Central Liturgical Commission of the Syro-Malabar Church.

He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Liturgical Theology at Paurastya Vidyāpīṭham, Kottayam, with research rooted in Eastern liturgical tradition.

Fr. Sebastian holds a postgraduate degree in Syriac Literature from Mahatma Gandhi University, with academic expertise in Eastern Christian texts.

He is a Programme Co-ordinator at the Nazrani Research Centre, promoting scholarly engagement with the Syriac Christian heritage of India.
