Dr. Sinija V.R. is a leading academic and scientist in food processing, with over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and institutional leadership.

She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Food Engineering and M.Tech. in Post-Harvest Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and a B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering from Kerala Agricultural University.

She currently serves as Professor at NIFTEM-T, where she is also the Chair of the Working Group on Nonthermal Processing and Coordinator of the Food Processing Business Incubation Centre (FPBIC).

Nationally recognized, she is the Coordinator for PMKVY and PM FME schemes, advancing food processing skills and entrepreneurship across India.

She has completed 26 funded research projects, published 79 journal papers, 5 book chapters, 20 science articles, 85+ conference presentations, and holds 3 patents.

Awards include the Prof. Jeevan Singh Sidhu Award (2018), Bharat Vikas Award, and Dr. V. Subramanian Best Scientist Award (2022).

Actively involved in academic governance, she serves on various Academic Councils, Boards of Studies, and Examination Boards, and is a life member of AFST(I), ISAE, and ISTE.
