Dr. Christy Maria is a dedicated Community Physician at Mundakayam Medical Trust Hospital.
She holds an MBBS from Father Muller Medical College, an MD in Community Health from St. John’s, Bengaluru, and a DNB in Community Health.
Her research includes peer-reviewed studies on psychiatric comorbidities, breastfeeding perceptions, postpartum anxiety, and maternal/perinatal outcomes in high-risk pregnancies.
She received the Best Paper Award at IAPSM 2020 and played a vital role in COVID-19 screening during her postgraduate training.
Dr. Christy is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine to further expand her expertise.
A passionate health educator, she shares knowledge through newspaper articles and platforms like Akashavani and Doordarshan.
She is married to Mr. Aby Kalamthara, is a mother of three, and belongs to St. Anthony's Church, Tharakanatukunnu, under the Eparchy of Kanjirapally.
