Abin John Varghese, also known as Aby Kalamthara, is an engineering graduate with an M.Tech in Energy Science and Technology, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioenergy at the School of Energy Materials, Mahatma Gandhi University.

He has over 11 years of professional experience across India and abroad, spanning engineering, project management, and research innovation.

He holds a Master Diploma in Project Planning and Management, which complements his scientific and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Abin developed a patented technology for bioenergy production from tender coconut husk, showcasing his commitment to sustainable solutions.

He serves as the Project Manager at the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (BIIC), MGU, supporting startup incubation and innovation initiatives.

He is a Subject Expert Committee Member at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), Alphonsa College, Pala.

Abin is married to Dr. Christy Maria, is the father of three daughters, and belongs to St. Antony’s Church, Tharakanattukunnu, Chenappady, under the Eparchy of Kanjirapally.
